Club Notes scribe wanted

Dot Com is looking to pass on the honour of writing the Seaford Football

All you have to do is write 200 to 250 words about what is happening
around the club, be it on field action, social events, whispers around
the club, or whatever you feel like ranting on about??..

You are representing the club to the whole of the MPNFL so you need to
have some sense of responsibility ? but this does not mean you are not
allowed to entertain or be funny.

For more information please email or
see Callan in person at the club.

 UPDATE 21/04/2007

Once again a big thank you goes out to the Pakenham Football Club for providing their great facilities for the early birds at 9AM so we could give our entire Under 18 squad a hit out in an intra-club game. The game was very pleasing in all aspects and it shows that the pre-season training has definitely been worth it. The Seniors and Reserves both had the privilege on playing on the sensational ground against Pakenham. Both of these games were played in great spirit and these games will have done wonders for our September ambitions. Good luck Pakenham FC for the rest of your season from the Seaford Football Club.

UPDATE 18/04/2007

Check out the Under 18 Colts fixture  which is coming together at last , along with the prospect of junior games at R.F. Miles, the future of football in the Seaford community will be on show again this season. Please come and support these boys when they play - they ARE the future of our club and our community.

We've added a new button called 'President's Press' , perhaps it should be called 'Ricks Rave', however it will compliment the 'tigers eye ' section contributed from PK and the football department.

All players and officials are seeking individual SPONSORS for the season ahead. The player and official SPONSORSHIP FORM can be found by  FOLLOWING THIS LINK. This form should be completed in full and returned to the club secretary (Dean Walton) and sponsorship money to the club treasurer (Anne Kemp)

UPDATE 2/2/2007

You will notice a few changes to the website in the coming weeks as we prepare for a huge season ahead.

One of these is the new 'resources' button on the front page.

There are all sorts of useful documents in this section  to make sure everyone at the club is well informed on

club and VCFL activities and has ready access to the most important information.

ALL players should take note and act on the new MEDICAL and INJURY MANAGEMENT sections as we bring them on line.

To that end- we welcome Rachael to the club, and here is an important message for all players regarding the new

SFC MEDICAL FORM (click to download)

'To help make Seaford Football Club even better and reduce injuries in
2007, we need to take medical records!  Hooray!

It is in your best interests to fill this out, because if something
does happen on field and you have to go to hospital, we would send
this sheet with you and it will help speed up your admission and
treatment.

Please download the document, print it, then fill it out in pen. Hand
it to Rachael or Chris as soon as you can! The information is
CONFIDENTIAL and will be kept in the safe during the season. It will
only be seen by the trainers if it is deemed necessary.

If you have ANY questions or you're not sure about something please
don't hesitate to ask Rachael (at training or via email).  If you would
like to discuss any problems or need to elaborate on anything I'm more
than happy to chat. '

for their day of destiny and today they have their chance. All the best.

The seniors bowed out last week in a close result. The players and the
club as a whole will learn from the experience and hope to go a couple
of steps further in 07.

Once again we thank everyone for their support throughout the year. The
crowd was in full voice last week and we hope you get behind the 18s today.

Enjoy the summer months, stay safe and we will do it all again in 2007.

UPDATE 17/09/2006

Club Notes

STRONG win by the U/18s puts them straight through to the Grand Final next week. The boys
deserve the weeks break and started preparing for their next match straight after the final
siren last Sunday. It was a courageous performance to hold off a strong challenge by the
opposition and show enough to get over the line and record a win.

Great games from Doyley, Mitch, Sota, Azza and Ange. It is now time to turn it up a notch
on the track and make sure you are prepared as best as possible for the Grand Final.
While we all play for team success a big congratulations to the u/18 skipper Aaron Turner on
winning the League Best and Fairest medal earlier this week. Great effort mate.

It is make or break once again for the senior outfit who will be by no means content with a
third place finish in 2006. Massive game requires players to step up a level again and the
21 players selected will be doing just that.

A panel of experts voted 19-year-old Chirs Irving as the 2006 Peninsula Division Player of
the Year and the talk among the players on the night was it was a thoroughly deserved award
for the youngster. Well done Irvo. Chris was also named in the Pakenham Gazette Peninsula
Team of the Year along with Dean Kemble, Joe Hallal, Olly Trand and Michael Kraska. Great
season boys which we hope you continue on today.

Club Notes

SOLID win by Seaford FC in the first semi final last week that results in the seniors sitting back and watching the top two go at it today. But all eyes will be on the U18s as they embark on their finals campaign. The wider Seaford community has been behind the club all year and all players and officials appreciate the support we get. Once again the yellow and black everywhere at Frankston Park and we hope that support continues for the youngsters today. The senior team were committed to the cause last week and thoroughly deserved the win. The coaching staff put in the hours in preparation for the various match-ups during the game and got it spot on. Our reward is another must win game next week and we look forward to rising to the next challenge that is presented our way. Thanks once again to all our trainers, officials, water boys, helpers and everyone else at the club that makes sure we are up there with the best operations on the Peninsula.

SEAFORD FC is thrilled to be the first club in the MPNFL to have a 2006 premiership cup in the cabinet. The trophy is courtesy of our Colts team who won the flag last Friday night at Frankston Park. It was a courageous win by the young boys who have given their all throughout this campaign and were rewarded with the ultimate prize.

Congratulation to skipper Peter Revell on his impressive game and best on ground medal. Pete was backed up by Stefan, Big O, Nick Boswell, Cruze and every other player wearing a Seaford jumper on the night.

18s finished their season with an impressive result and move into a finals series after finishing the season in 2nd place. However, the real game starts in September and the 18s have set themselves up for a tilt at the prize.

The reserves finished on a disappointing note but will learn a lot from 06. Get behind the rest of the club as we head towards the final dance in two other grades.

Seaford FC senior team will grace the field at Frankston Park in September for the first time in nearly 10 years and can’t wait for the challenge ahead. We know what we have to do and it starts today.

Club Notes :- Round 18

GOOD day on the field for the Tigers last week with three wins, one of
which resulted in the Colts moving through to the Grand Final at Karrs St, 7:30 on Friday
night.
The Colts team has been a massive success for the club this year
and will ensure the club is going in the right direction in 07 and beyond.
There are many people to thank for their involvement with the Colts and
with Seaford FC as a whole this year and coach Russell O'Brien is number
one. Rusty has done a great job with the kids this year and everyone is
thankful that he and several other parents from the Junior Club made the
transition and got involved with Seaford FC.
The trainers and support
staff to Russ have also been great as well as some of the U/16 players
who have helped the team during the year.

We look forward to all the boys continuing their football with Seaford
FC beyond this year and we wish you all the best in your Grand Final.
You have done the club proud.

We move into the final round of the home and away season today and our
reserves will play their final game of the year. Thanks to Paul Smit for
his first season with the very young outfit that were made up of mostly
under 21 year olds.
06 will be put down as a learning experience and all
players should continue to get behind the 18s and seniors during their
finals campaign.

$10,000 Draw back at the club after the game today against Karingal. You
will only be admitted if you have a ticket in the draw. A couple are
still left and can be bought from Butch today at the game.

UPDATE 19/8/2006

Club Notes - Round 17

A WHILE since all three teams lost at Tigerland but the one bright light that was shining came from the Colts effort in their first final. The young boys did the club and themselves proud when they defeated Hallam by over 100 points. Great games from full forward Ashleigh Cassap who slotted 13 majors, Peter Revell, Shane Miller and Cruze Tohiariki. All the best when you take on Beaconsfield this week.

Less said about the Mt Eliza trip the better.

But this doesn’t mean we forget about our performance in all three grades and ensure we put in hard on the track for the rest of the year. Let’s start by getting our season back on track against Edi today.

We ask all supporters of the 10,000 Tiger draw to get their tickets back to Butch or grab a few more if you think you can sell them. A major fundraiser that will make sure Seaford FC is in good shape to kick off season 2007.

We welcome all associated with Edi Asp FC and once again thank our dedicated band of supporters that support Seaford so passionately. I have spoken to players from several other clubs who are envious of the support we receive and the atmosphere that we get to play in every second week.

Everyone pulling on a Seaford jumper really appreciates your support.

UPDATE 12/8/2006

Club Notes - Round 16

Genuine congratulations to Seaford goal sneak and all-round nice guy  Joe  Hallal and his lovely girlfriend Bec on their engagement during the

week.  Bec will tell you Smokin Joe’s good form isn’t contained to just the footy oval.

As we approach the business end of the season is it pleasing to see all four Seaford sides there abouts on the ladder.

Today against Mount Eliza that spot is up for grabs in the seniors and all 21 players that take the field will need to be fully switched on. Make sure you are.

Two wins out four against last weeks opposition but it was definitely not all our own way. The seniors and 18s did it easy while

the reserves and colts didn’t have it all their own way.

The 18s produced an impressive all round team effort to easily account for their opposition. Better players were Dyl, Doyley, Dan Letho,

 Mitch Finn and Sota.

Reserves took a while to get going and tried to make to much ground up late in the game. Season is on the line today so everyone needs to be

 at  their best.

Seniors did well against an undermanned opposition and will look to continue the solid form today.

Colts play their first final today and we need the whole club to get behind the future of the club.

All the best boys.

Club Notes - Round 15

A GREAT day last week for Seaford FC with all four teams recording wins. Unfortunately not the best turn-out to the Comedy Night which many people worked hard to make sure was a good social event. The club is going really well on the field and also from a committee point of view but we need all players (Colts and 18s included!!) to get behind Thursday night selection and post-match functions on a Saturday night. If you are reading this hopefully it is the third or fourth time you have been told this week that social attendance hasn’t been good enough lately. Playing footy at a local level is a two-way street and you need to give a bit back to the club. Once again a big thank-you to the best band of supporters who get behind all the teams both at home and at away matches. We are grateful for your support and look forward to rewarding you with three great efforts against Bonbeach FC today. We welcome all supporters, players and officials from Shark Park to Seaford Oval today and encourage you to share a drink with us in the social rooms after this afternoons match. Thanks to Rohan Gazzard for all his efforts last week. Gazz can be contacted on 0419 355 482 for serious clinical hypnotherapy sessions to help you begin the journey to a cigarette-free life. You can also call him if you're another footy club reading these notes and want to organise a cracker comedy night for 2007.

10,000 Tigers Draw. See Butch for your ticket that gives you great odds of winning the best prize in local football.

UPDATE 29/7/2006

Club Notes - Round 14

TONIGHT we have Seaford legend Rohan Gazzard putting on one special comedy and stage hypnotism show. Gazz will be joined by Pommy Johnson and Adam Palmer in what will be a great night. Show starts at 8.30pm and tickets are available on the door tonight. Today we renew old rivalries with our suburban neighbours in what will be three hotly contested matches. Last week we had some mixed results with two wins a draw and a loss across our four teams. Hopefully each respective side can put it together against Pines and YCW this weekend and come away with a win.

UPDATE 21/7/2006

Club notes Round 13

NOT the best of days for Seaford FC last week with all three teams being
defeated by a more determined opponent. But the beauty of the home and
away season means we can come back firing against a Chelsea team today.

Congratulations to former Seaford junior Damien McCormack on his
successful debut for the Western Bulldogs last week. An inspiration to
all young Tigers down at the Seaford Junior Football Club.

Well done also to Luke Richardson on his selection and performance in
the East vs West U/18 Championships.

Two great examples of Seaford boys striving to perform and play football
at a higher level.

Today we welcome Chelsea down to Seaford Oval in an exciting Sunday of
matches. The Colts will play at Beaconsfield on Saturday after cementing
their finals spot with a win against Hallam last week.

UPDATE 13/7/2006

Club Notes - Round 12

IT’S good to be back on the winners list after all three grades defeated Hastings FC last week. The Colts had last week off but took on Hallam last night and all going well, had a win. Three massive games at Jubilee Park today and all Seaford teams are primed and ready to go.

Best Players vs. Hastings: 1sts: Chris Irving. 2nds: Julian Walton. 3rds: Matty Haverfield.

Seaford vs. Hastings review. Seniors came out firing and played a fantastic first half that resulted in 22 goals being kicked. The performance faded as the game went on, but the damage had already been done. Reserves won their third game in a row and are playing a committed brand of football that is producing good results. Today’s match is an old-fashioned eight point game, so therefore a must win. 18s bounced back well after their loss last week and are showing promising signs once again. Top of the table clash today and a match the boys have set themselves for. Congratulations to Luke Richardson for being selected in the Under 18's 'East' team to play in the annual  'East vs. West' championship at Punt Rd on Sunday.

Club Notes - Round 11

Congratulations to Matt Emmett on his surprise engagement to his lovely girlfriend last week. All the best for the future Disha. Seaford FC had mixed results last week with two out of four teams recording wins. Well done to the Reserves and Colts who both had solid victories. We have now entered the second half of the season and all four teams are in a position to compete for a finals spot. The only way we can guarantee a start in August/September though is to re double our efforts over the next few weeks, starting today!

Best players last week:

1sts - Chris Irving, 2nds -Trav Armour, 3rds- Luke Soteriadis, 4ths - Peter Revell

Today we welcome all Hastings players, officials and supporters to Seaford Oval. On behalf of the players of all 4 teams, I would like to thank the Seaford fans who encourage and cheer us on every single week. Your support is definitely noticed and thoroughly appreciated. The same goes for the officials, trainers, water boys and everybody else who helps around the club.

UPDATE 18/6/2006

CLUB NOTES FOR ROUND 9

THE country is in the grip of World Cup fever and what a spectacle the beautiful game is. I hope as you read my notes today we are all celebrating a draw/win against Croatia and the Socceroos have progresses through to the next round! Moving on to all things Australian rules and Seaford had mixed fortunes last week with two wins from four. The 18s and seniors continue to roll along nicely but will both need to ensure they are up for the Bulls this week. The Colts had a minor hiccup last week and the reserves next win is just around the corner.

Seaford FC would like to congratulate Ang Marigliani on his Peninsula league Wizard nomination. Ang is a great clubman and a handy footballer who has impressed all those whom have watched him this year.

Thanks to all those who attended the social function last week with a great night had by all.

The committee have already planned our next big event with the 2006 SFC Annual Ball only 2 WEEKS AWAY.

UPDATE 16/6/2006

Peninsula FL 2nd Future Wizard Nomination - Andrew Marigliani

Andrew (Ang) Marigliani is the type of player coaches' dream of having in their side. Strong, determined and courageous are words that describe the way he plays his footy.

Ang has great leadership qualities and is admired by his team mates for his determination and straight at the footy play. He gives those around him on the ground enormous confidence by his courage and attitude. His strong marking and work ethic at centre half forward and centre half back has helped Seaford under eighteens win all their games so far this season.

Ang started his football Career at 7 years of age following his older brother Marcus down to Seaford Junior Football Club. He progressed through the age groups developing friendship along the way with team mates that remain strong today. His achievements in those early years are best & fairest, captain, 100 game player and three premierships as well as many awards for courage and determination. He suffered a serious knee injury in his under sixteen season causing him to miss most of the season.

Andrew followed instructions from his physio and doctors not to rush back into footy. He made his comeback in Seaford under eighteens in round five last season. After a cautious couple of games his confidence and strength returned and he finished the year off well. This season he has been a tower of strength for Seaford at either end of the ground.

His exceptional form saw him represent the MPNFL in the recent Interleague match.

We look forward to Andrews continued development and progress to senior football.

UPDATE 15/6/2006

Olympian- Sporting Theory Guest Speaker.

Seaford football club hosts a special guest speaker on June 27.

Istvan Gorgeny is a former Hungarian Olympian water polo player  and coached the Australian women's water polo team to a gold medal

in Sydney 2000. He tours the world speaking about his theory of sporting and corporate team balance - his theory is known as 'the hunting territory'.

PK heard his theory at the AFL coaches conference earlier this year and was suitably impressed.

Seaford are lucky to have a speaker of such calibre addressing the players.

PK has extended an invitation to local men and women in the area that own businesses and may be interested in listening.

Places are limited, so anyone from the community interested in attending should e-mail PK on kennedy.paul@hotmail.com

CLUB NOTES - ROUND 5

Best Players: Seniors - Donny Epa Reserves – Kieran Shaw U/18s – Ange Marigliani

Today we welcome PINES FC down to Seaford Oval for what is a truly local derby in every sense of the word.

Our supporters have been great in the opening two rounds and we hope the Tiger faithful continue their vocal support today.

The club sends its best wishes to Dave Maurice as he recovers from the serious injury he sustained last week.

The big Cub is as tough as they come and had it not been for the educated call from Bobby, he would have played on in the non-nonsense fashion that only Dave knows.

Get well soon mate.

Please mark Saturday May 20 as the first official function for Seaford FC.

The club will  hold a professional Cocktail Night at the clubrooms, with entertainment and drinks starting from 7.30pm.

Visit www.seafordfootballclub.org to view high quality photos of all our players in action for the Tigers.

e-mail from MPNFL :-

Colts Iterleague Cancelled

Further to mine and Tony Vagg’s phone call from last week, we have now exhausted all avenues of getting a team to play against our Colts for Interleague.

(After the Yarra Valley pulled the pin at such late notice)

I am bitterly disappointed that this is the case and have been hanging off telling everyone the news just in case I got lucky and found someone to play us, but unfortunately all requests to other leagues have been fruitless.

Lets hoping that next year, we can begin our Colts Interleague Campaign again and we won’t be faced with this scenario.

Please pass on our apologies to all Colts players together with their coaches and support staff.

Regards,

Sue Jones

MPNFL Office Manager

UPDATE : -9/05/2006

Injured Cub

Dear Seaford, Dave Maurice suffered a torn liver and bruised kidneys in a marking contest against the Seagulls. It rates among the worst injuries a player has had at this club. This is a bitter blow for several reasons. Firstly, Dave has had his setbacks in recent years, including a dislodged knee cap. Secondly, our team loses for the season one of its central figures. His stay in hospital is over and now "Cub" faces three months off work. He is currently deciding whether to re-read War and Peace or master Playstation II. Seaford has had its bouts of bad luck in recent years (Kraz's injury also comes to mind) but surely this is going too far. I feel shattered for Dave because he has the potential to become a leading player in this league (if you don't believe me come and borrow a copy of the Mornington game, in which he kicked five goals from centre half forward). The shame is that he will have to wait until 2007 for his chance to shine. Best wishes to his family and girlfriend Stacey, who will have to put up with his restlessness until then. It is necessary at this point to raise my nomination for clubperson of the month. Bobby Martello (now known as medium-sized Bobby) was the one who declared Dave should not play the second half against Chelsea. Cub wanted to go back out there despite passing blood. He is brave. I knew that. But Bob declared him unfit. Doctors later said if Dave continued and was bumped the wrong way ..... well ..... you imagine the rest. What does this all mean to Dave and club? Dave will have next year and the year after to play football. I will invite him to come with me to Nepean School next week to see some students who can never play football. It might ease your burden Cub. Tree lopping will have to wait. We must all keep our branches trimmed until mid-August. We, as a team, will struggle to be as good without Dave but we must struggle regardless. It is time some men started to stand up to fill the spaces created by injury. And it is time for the rest of us to start playing with the courage Maurice showed last Sunday. If we do, we will be harder to beat. I haven't got too many years of football left. But I will play the remainder of this season for Cub.

Regards PK

CLUB NOTES - ROUND 4

TODAY we head down to Chelsea to renew rivalries with a team that has had many famous encounters with Seaford FC over the years. We have been bestowed with two Sunday games in 2006 and all eyes will be on us to perform today. Let’s ensure we do just that. The club as a whole has had a strong start to the season with 10 out of the 11 football matches resulting in Seaford wins. Our clubrooms look great with more than 100 Seaford player photos up for season 2006. If you would like to sponsor one of these players please see Glenda Sharp or Anne Kemp. TONIGHT we will return to where the majority of us started our football careers when the match awards are presented in conjunction with the juniors at the Seaford Junior Football Club from 6pm. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

Please visit www.seafordfootballclub.org.au for the latest news, photos and everything else you want to know about Seaford FC.

CLUB NOTES - ROUND 3

Welcome to all affiliated with Frankton YCW to Seaford Oval for Round 3, 2006.

After visiting Hastings’ ground we can safely say that Seaford Oval is no longer the smallest deck in the league.  There were two blow outs and one closely fought game with Seaford recording all three wins on the day.  The Colts got the weekend off to a great start when they defeated Edi/Asp on Friday night and ensured that the Tigers could take a clean sweep of all four games.

Dean Kemble failed to get a mention in the best players but was clearly Seaford’s best last week. A Courageous game from a player that is as tough as they come.  Now he only needs the umpires to stop confusing him with his older brother Scott. Deano was helped out by Ant, Irvo, Stokesy and Caddy who all made vital contributions to the win.

Smity’s reserves were disciplined all day and the result of playing hard and fair football showed on the scoreboard.  Johnny Nichols kicked five and was best on, while Nick Pettit, Dish Emmett, Aaron Walton and Paul ‘Drags’ Drago all played good footy.

The 18s showed what a solid pre-season and plenty of competition for spots in the side can do when they defeated their opponents by a large margin.  The end result was even more satisfying due to the way the team played.  Captain Aaron Turner played a inspiring game and had many helpers on the day including the Fridge Luke Richardson, Rizza Harwan, Tremain and Will Connolly.

The Colts defeated Edi/Asp and all players continue to push for 18s spots which holds the whole club in good stead.  They were led by Cruze, Will Round, Dyl Ebert and young Bozza.  The boys play home games on a Friday night at 7:45pm and we urge all supporters to get down and support the players.

CLUB NOTES - ROUND 2

www.seafordfootballclub.org

GREAT start to 2006 for Seaford FC with all three teams recording strong wins in front of our home crowd.  Thanks to those from Mornington FC that stayed around for a chat after the game.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped give our clubrooms a bit of a facelift of the Easter break.  Your help does not go unnoticed and I will do my best to let everyone know who the helpers are around the club through these notes.

Our first function for the year was a great success, thanks mainly to our loyal supporters and sponsors who dug deep to buy groups of players at our Player Auction Night.  We have a full list of all successful bidders and the groups they own for 2006 in the clubrooms.

If anyone out there would like to sponsor a player for 2006 there are still plenty of opportunities to do so.  $220 gets you a senior player, your name under their clubroom photo and a club membership that admits you to all Seaford FC home games.  Please see Paul Kennedy if you wish to help the club our in this way.

Good luck to all 4 teams this week as we look to continue our promising start to the year.

Practice Match Report

A well contested match, played in good spirits between 2 quality sides with only a couple of kicks the difference after 4x15 min quarters. Indications are that  both teams will again give a good account of themselves this year. Seaford were missing a few familiar faces due to work and other commitments on Sunday afternoon, but were well served by a couple doubling up from under 18's on Saturday, as well as some quality youngsters from the SJFC under 16's.

More familiar faces from the 2005 SJFC U16's are now finding their way into the squad, which will ensure that spots in both under 18 teams will continue to be hard earnt throughout the season.

Thanks to Frankston Dolphins FC for organising this game to make sure as many as possible got on the park this weekend.

2006 Coaching Staff

There are a number of new coaches who have been appointed at the Seaford Football Club for season 2006. The seniors will be led by Paul Kennedy, as with last season, the team performing well, finishing 5th on the ladder and only a couple of games out of the finals. Unfortunately for the reserves, we lose the services of Jason Spencer due to work commitments, however we are fortunate to have Paul Smit to take up the reins and coach the reserves. Paul has some excellent credentials including being drafted by Sydney and Melbourne and  playing full back for Springvale throughout his career. The under 18's will be coached by club stalwart Frank Tobin, who did a great job with the colts team last year and hopefully they can improve on a successful 2005, in which eight of the under 18 players debuted for the senior team. Finally, the club is proud to announce that it will be running a colts team again for season 2006 which is great for developing the younger players and ensuring that Seaford has a strong future. Russell O'Brien has been appointed as coach of the colts after coaching and officiating at the junior club for the past 7 years, including the Under 16 Blacks last season.

2006 Committee Announced

An exciting time awaits the Seaford Football Club in 2006 and the hard work has already begun for our dedicated committee members.

The committee for season 2006 has been elected with Rick East voted in as President for his second term. Three Vice Presidents will assist Rick in his role with Terry Miller, Robin Date and Robert Edgerton filling the positions.

The administration side of the committee stays the same with Glenda Sharp continuing in her role as club Secretary along with Anne Kemp in the Treasurer position.

Anyone who thinks they may be able to help the club continue our strive for excellence in 2006 can get in contact with Rick at president@seafordfootballclub.org

2005 Award Winners

The Seaford Football Club has announced its major award winners for season 2005 with 23 year old Ben Cadd taking out his second consecutive Senior Best & Fairest Award.  Scotty Kemble continued his tremendous form over the last three years by adding his second runner up award to his Best & Fairest trophy in 2003.

Josh Dent polled the most votes and won the Reserves Best and Fairest honour even though the on baller played only eight games for the whole season.  Playing Coach Jason Spencer was rewarded for his solid season with the runner up award in his first year at the club.

The Under 18s Best & Fairest was won by Andy Phillips who marked himself as a player of the future with a consistent season whilst the runner up award was shared between Aaron Turner and Luke Sotiriadis.  All three young men played senior football throughout the year, with a total of eight under 18s representing the senior side during 2005.

Matt Wilkinson took out the Colts Best & Fairest award and Stirling Hollingsworth was named runner up in a highly successful year for the Colts.  Both Wilkinson and Hollingsworth played solid football during the season and will look to continue this form in 2006.

Individual votes and all award winners will be posted in the near future.

Scott Kemble in 2005 Peninsula Team of the Year

Seaford captain Scott Kemble has been named on the wing in the Pakenham Gazette Peninsula Team of the Year.

Kemble was awarded the honour after a solid 2005 for the Tigers, which saw him play a high quality and consistent brand of football.

The 25 year old wingman finished with 11 votes in the league best and fairest count and was positioned ninth overall.

The award was won by Chelsea playing coach Tim Scott-Branigan who finished on 20 votes for the season.
