Tigers Note

Well firstly it has been disappointing for our club
not to be able to field a Colts side last week.
To have only 3 out of 10 matches fixture at home has
definitely hurt our young list of Cubs.
Let’s hope Friday night under lights this week see
the Tiger Spirit back in full roar!

Our Unders set the scene early with an impressive
display in trying conditions last week.
To keep the Ycw boys goal less was an outstanding effort. Beau Cannon was the chief architect, while
Chris Brooking attack & use on the football
gave you the impression he was a seasoned campaigner.

The Magoo’s had the pleasure to christen their
41st player in the team’s huddle after the game
and there aren’t many more guys who had an impact
on the group in such a short time.
MOJO inspired the boys with his will to win the ball
at crucial stages and with a no fear attitude.
Other young players in Short man & Super
were key figures throughout the day and
ensured another hard fought win.

Last week’s game against YC was crucial
to our finals aspirations and we confronted
a red hot side in very boggy conditions.
First half was all YC as they controlled the match
to lead by 5 goals at half time.
However the 3rd quarter saw us lift our intensity
and the pendulum slowly began to turn as
we chippedaway at the lead.
Enter the last quarter in what would be
one of the great finishes to a game in what
seemed like an eternity for the siren to blow,
both teams looked home at certain stages
before Darragh 'The Wild One' Chadwick soccered
from the goalsquare to snatch a 1 point win
with less than 2 minutes remaining.
