SEAFORD FOOTBALL CLUB
2009
SEASON
TO ALL CURRENT AND NEW PLAYERS.
Hello to everyone from your newly appointed senior coach for 2009. I look
forward to taking on the role and being involved with a magnificent
group of people/players. The time has come for us all to begin to
look ahead towards our new challenges for the 2009 season.
Coming off such a magnificent year where we had so much success, with the
seniors and reserves both taking out the ultimate prize, the under
18’s playing off in a preliminary final and the colts winning 6
games to finish middle of the road, the future looks extremely
bright.
The Reserves will be coached by Darren Godkin, the under 18’s by Frank
Tobin and the Colts by Marty Hughes. All three of these guys coached
their respective teams last year and it is with great excitement and
enthusiasm that l welcome them back once again.
Training will begin on Saturday November 15 at 2pm sharp.
Venue
: Edithvale Velodrome, Edithvale Rd, Edithvale (opposite Kinross Ave).
It will run for approx 90 minutes, please bring along runners and
standard pre-season gear.
Training is for Seniors and all Under 18’s.
Following training there will be a coaches presentation beginning at 4pm.
Venue : Patterson River Golf Course, Mernda Ave, Bonbeach.
This will run for approx 90minutes. There will be water made available.
Due to restricted numbers (60) this session will be restricted to all
senior players only.
I will talk to the under 18’s at Edithvale to introduce myself and detail
what we want to achieve as a club for the year.
Following on from the presentation l am inviting all players to catch up
for a meal and drink, venue to be decided on the day. This is up to
the individual and by no means compulsory.
All players will receive a handout on this day, detailing pre-season
training and listing all other relevant information.
Training dates prior to Christmas will be :
Mon 17/11
Wed 19/11
Mon 24/11
Wed 26/11
Mon
1/12
Wed 3/12
Mon 8/12
Wed 10/12
Mon 15/12
Wed
17/12
All venues for these sessions to be announced on
Saturday Nov 15 and listed in handout.
I look forward to seeing you all at our first training session for season
2009, and hope that this first session sets the standard for what we
expect for all sessions we are involved in!
Regards
Anthony Agius
